About RochesterWebcam.com

In 2005, after moving from Buffalo to Rochester, Buffalowebcam owner Jeffrey Hoffman was intoduced to Peter Gines, the longtime, successful owner of Jines Restaurant on Park Avenue…arguably the most recognizable walking and shopping district in the flower city,

Hoffman was excited to meet Gines, in as much as his restaurant had quickly become Hoffman’s “go to” spot for brunch on weekends.

Their meeting proved to be the genesis of the now seventeen year growth of rochesterwebcam.com.

Hoffman eventually persuaded Gines to install two cams in his apartment building directly across Berkeley Street looking both East at the Restaurant and West down Park Avenue.

At that time, the cams while high tech in application were analog in their stream, but in 2009 they were replaced by higher definition digital cams and have continued to operate ever since…an extraordinary thirteen year run by any standard.

Because Hoffman is able to track their performance with Google Analytics, they now exceed 19 million page views and have grown every year of their existence.
